Laurie's Report:


Several nice fish have made their way to the scale this past week. Dan McErlean had nice hybrids with his largest weighing in at 7 lb 14 oz. Kenny Stelmack’s Hybrid weighed in at 8 lbs and Marcin Puzio's Hybrid weighed 8 lb 7 oz.   Jerry Freeman’s walleye was just under 6 pounds, weighing in at 5 lb 14 oz. Herring was the bait of choice for them. Joe Orlando landing his first walleye while trolling in Great Cove with a jointed Bomber, his fish weighing 6 lb 3 oz. While the bass season is still closed until the middle of June,  several nice largemouth and smallmouth bass have been reported. Pickerel still being caught either trolling or casting Mepps spinners or stickbaits along the weedlines and seeing lots of yellow perch and some crappie out of shallower water. We are fully stocked with bombers, knuckleheads, and cotton cordell red fins for the upcoming night fishing also. The Knee Deep Club will be holding their panfish challenge this Sunday May 20th, from 5 AM to   4 PM . It is a points based contest and the five categories of fish include sunfish, rock bass, yellow & white perch and crappie.  $$$ prizes will be awarded to the top 3 anglers who score the highest points. Mark your calendar now, it should be a fun time !!! Have a good week...
