Salmon eggs are about a centimeter or a little less in diameter. Maybe 8 or 9mm. You can't help but have trout steal eggs. The trout I refer to are stocked fish, but it's so much fun trying to get the hook set, the challenge is really there. And every once & awhile you hook every trout that hits, but that's usually not the case. Recent years, I've been fly fishing more, and I may give this egg business up, but I've been after stockers since I was 10, so I don't know. I even fished them a little during the years I lived at the shore.<br />Bruce Edward Littonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17029604072966031704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209286468796022587.post-48743455954988532682015-02-16T19:41:11.310-05:002015-02-16T19:41:11.310-05:00I suppose common sense is good enough here. You went into so much detail including fish that steal the egg, and I started to wonder just where the hook was placed. I have gone trout fishing before but with worms. While reading about putting the egg on the hook, I thought a video would be useful. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00186935541232035316noreply@blogger.com
