The Knee Deep Club will be holding their Spring Walleye
Contest this weekend from 5 AM Saturday , May 22 until noon on Sunday, May 23.
There will be cash prizes for the 3 heaviest walleyes and gift certificates for
4th, 5th & 6th place. Walleye are hitting on NightCrawlers and herring
along with some night time action using Bombers and Zara Spooks. Lou Marcucci
caught his first walleye of the season, hitting the scales at 5 lb 7 oz. Jim
Welsh had another large hybrid, this one weighing in at 9 lb 5 oz. hitting a
live herring. There is still some yellow perch and crappie action and several
nice smallmouth have been reported. Bass season is still catch & release
until the middle of June. Have a great week !
