I got news from the Division of Fish & Wildlife about a workshop on the relationship between horseshoe crabs and shorebirds hosted by the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor. I'm not really thinking any of you will make the hike over there to participate, but I happen to be writing an article for a magazine on marsh redfish, and the Wetlands Institute--I just read of what they're about minutes ago--is involved in the education of the public about marshes and the need to protect them. Marshes are essential to marine life in general.
